Overview
We are looking for a Business Insights & CFO Advisory Associate who can bridge the gap between financial reporting and business decision-making.
This role is not limited to preparing reports. Your responsibility will be to interpret business performance, identify operational drivers behind financial outcomes, and help founders take action based on data.
You will work closely with the CFO team and reporting specialists to ensure client reports are accurate, insightful, and implementation-focused. The ideal candidate combines analytical thinking, business understanding, strong communication, and execution capability.
What You Will Do
* Review and validate monthly MIS and reporting outputs prepared by reporting specialists
* Convert financial and operational data into client-ready business insights
* Write monthly and quarterly performance reports with:
* performance summaries
* variance analysis
* KPI insights
* operational observations
* business risks
* practical recommendations
* Identify drivers behind:
* revenue growth
* gross margins
* utilization
* CAC and retention
* operating leverage
* cash flow trends
* AR aging and working capital
* Support CFO-led strategic initiatives by helping implement and track action items across teams
* Participate in founder and leadership calls and clearly explain performance trends
* Coordinate with internal reporting specialists to improve report quality, structure, and consistency
* Build and maintain report templates, QA checklists, and insight frameworks
* Prepare decision-support memos for pricing, hiring, expansion, cost optimization, and operational improvements

* Comfort working directly with clients and leadership teams
Nice to Have
* Experience in FP&A, consulting, Founder’s Office, Business Operations, or CFO Office roles
* Familiarity with QuickBooks Online or Xero reporting
* Experience with dashboard/reporting tools:
* Fathom
* Power BI
* Looker Studio
* Tableau
* Experience working with SaaS, agencies, professional services, or D2C brands
* Exposure to KPI tracking and operational analytics
Experience & Location
* 2–5 years of relevant experience preferred
* Based in Mumbai or willing to work from Mumbai
* Prior startup or fast-paced business environment experience is a plus
