Job Description:

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate numerical control drilling machines to drill holes into printed circuit boards (PCBs) according to specifications.
  • Load program files containing the necessary commands into the machine or enter commands to retrieve programmed control data.
  • Review setup instructions, blueprints, and work orders to determine drilling requirements and machine settings.
  • Load and unload PCB panels onto the drilling machines, ensuring proper alignment and secure placement.
  • Maintain drill bits by replacing any worn or damaged ones to ensure optimal performance and hole quality.
  • Monitor the drilling process to ensure the quality of the holes being drilled.
  •  Perform quality control checks using measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
  •  Troubleshoot and resolve minor issues with drilling equipment or processes.
  •  Regularly clean and maintain drilling equipment.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient production flow.
  •  Keep detailed records of production output, machine settings, and quality inspection results. Contribute to process improvements by identifying opportunities to boost efficiency and minimize defects.
  • Support cross‑training efforts and carry out other tasks assigned by the supervisor to meet production needs.
