Job Overview
We are seeking a highly analytical and finance-savvy AI Data Annotator to help build the next generation of models for the financial sector.
Unlike traditional data labelling roles that involve simple categorization, this position requires you to solve complex financial reasoning problems . You will evaluate, critique, and correct reasoning paths, financial models, and market analyses. Your ground-truth solutions will directly train AI models to reason like elite financial analysts.
Key Responsibilities
- Manual Problem Solving: Independently solve complex financial reasoning problems derived from earnings transcripts, filings, macroeconomic reports, and quantitative data.
- Step-by-Step Chain of Thought (CoT) Verification: Audit and critique AI-generated reasoning steps. Identify logical fallacies, mathematical errors, accounting misclassifications, and subtle hallucinations in the AI's output.
- Gold-Standard Annotation: Write detailed, flawless, step-by-step rationales (ground truth) explaining how to arrive at the correct financial conclusion.
- Data Quality Assurance: Ensure high-fidelity labeling across various financial domains, including corporate finance, equity research, portfolio management, and tax/regulatory compliance.
- Feedback Loops: Partner with AI research engineers to refine annotation guidelines and identify recurring edge cases where the AI struggles with complex reasoning.
Qualifications & Skills
Required Experience:
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Quantitative Finance, or a highly related analytical field.
- Financial Literacy: Strong foundational knowledge of corporate finance principles, financial statement analysis (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow), and valuation methodologies.
- Advanced Reasoning: Exceptional critical thinking and logical reasoning skills. Ability to trace a complex financial argument or multi-step math problem without losing the thread.
- Experience - 0 to 3 years. Candidate with no relevant experience have four to six month probation period.
Preferred (Nice-to-Have):
- Progress toward or completion of certifications like CFA, CPA or ACCA
- Prior experience in equity research, investment banking, financial analysis, or advanced academic tutoring.
- Familiarity with AI training methodologies, prompt engineering, or Reinforcement Learning from Human Feedback (RLHF).
Core Competencies:
- Obsessive Attention to Detail: Spotting a 0.5% discrepancy in a margin calculation or an inverted logic gate in an economic argument.
- Articulate Writing: Ability to explain complex quantitative and qualitative financial concepts clearly with structured flow.
- Self-Driven: Comfortable working independently on ambiguous, highly complex problems.
