Job Title: Advanced Chess Coach at CHESS KLUB Bangalore

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Advanced Chess Coach based in Bangalore to train dedicated students looking to elevate their game. This is a premium coaching role for a professional who combines strong playing strength with proven pedagogical ability.
Candidate Requirements
- FIDE Rating: Minimum 1700 FIDE rating. National ratings alone will not be considered.
- Coaching Experience: At least 5 years of dedicated chess coaching experience (group sessions, one-on-one, and tournament preparation).
- Location: Must be based in or willing to travel within Bangalore for in-person sessions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver structured, advanced-level training plans (openings, middlegame strategy, endgame technique, calculation).
- Analyze students’ games (classical, rapid, and blitz) and provide actionable feedback.
- Prepare students for FIDE-rated tournaments, state/national level competitions, and rating-based goals.
- Track student progress using performance metrics and adjust coaching methodologies accordingly.
- Conduct themed training sessions, tactical drills, and supervised practice games.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong communication and mentorship skills – ability to explain complex ideas simply.
- Proven track record of improving students’ FIDE/ELO ratings.
- Familiarity with modern training tools (chess engines, databases, online platforms like Lichess Studies, ChessBase, etc.).
- Patience, punctuality, and a growth-oriented coaching philosophy.
