<div>The Opportunity:<br><br>
</div><div>This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for a motivated, hands-on individual who wants to gain real-world experience in a fast-paced, high-tech manufacturing environment. As a Part-Time Shop Technician, you will play a vital role in keeping our operations running smoothly while working directly with engineers on cutting-edge advanced materials. You’ll develop valuable technical skills, learn advanced testing and analytical methods, and contribute to meaningful innovation in a small, collaborative team. If you’re dependable, eager to learn, and take pride in a clean, safe, and well-organized workspace, this position offers great part-time hours and an exciting first step into advanced manufacturing.<br><br>
</div><div>Key Responsibilities:<br><br>
</div><div>· Maintain shop cleanliness, organization, safety standards, as well as provide general help with projects and initiatives as needed.<br><br>
</div><div>· Support equipment and tools readiness, inventory and ensuring materials and supplies are readily available<br><br>
</div><div>· Provide direct support to engineers on process development, equipment setup, and experimental work<br><br>
</div><div>· Become trained on and at times operate analytical equipment such as SEM, Instron, and other testing tools to document and analyze fiber properties<br><br>
</div><div>· Help maintain shop equipment in good working condition and perform basic clean-up, maintenance and repairs as needed<br><br>
</div><div>· Collaborate closely with the engineering team in a supportive, team-oriented environment<br><br>
</div><div>Qualifications:<br><br>
</div><div>· Self-motivated with a strong work ethic, and reliable attendance<br><br>
</div><div>· Honesty and personal integrity essential<br><br>
</div><div>· Mechanical aptitude (great at fixing, repairing, etc.) or basic electrical experience is beneficial<br><br>
</div><div>· Excellent attention to detail and strong critical thinking skills<br><br>
</div><div>· Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs<br><br>
</div><div>· Experience with testing equipment or manufacturing environments is a plus, but not required, we will provide training<br><br>
</div><div>Additional Requirements:<br><br>
</div><div>· Must be a U.S. person (naturalized citizen or qualifying under ITAR/EAR definitions)<br><br>
</div><div>· Successful completion of background check and drug testing required prior to employment<br><br>
