The Manager, Audience Strategy is responsible for developing and executing audience strategy, segmentation frameworks, and insight generation that drives data-informed decisions and product development across the organization. This role owns the strategy and requirements behind audience models and scalable frameworks — partnering with data science teams to bring them to life — and produces actionable insights aligned with broader data and monetization goals. The Manager is a key individual contributor who translates audience data into compelling narratives and practical solutions that enhance product development, strengthen market positioning, and support organizational decision-making. They are directly responsible for executing on integrated audience insight products, performance tracking, and go-to-market strategies, ensuring audience solutions are analytically rigorous and commercially impactful.

 

Compensation for this position is comprised of a base salary plus incentive compensation.  The base salary range is $80,000 - $95,000.  Additional incentives bring total potential compensation to $88,000 - $105,000.

 

What you’ll be doing

  • Defines the strategy and requirements for audience models and data-driven audience products, partnering with data science teams to bring them to life in alignment with organizational and monetization goals.
  • Builds and maintains scalable audience segmentation frameworks that define how audiences are structured, modeled, and refreshed across products and platforms.
  • Uses internal data tools and platforms to generate tailored audience insights for client work, marketing, campaigns, and strategic initiatives.
  • Documents requirements, feature definitions, and success criteria for new audience products and enhancements.
  • Monitors the performance of audience insight products, ensuring quality, documentation, and continuous improvement.
  • Creates and maintains standardized reporting processes, insight templates, and audience documentation to ensure consistency and scalability.
  • Identifies and surfaces new audience and data product opportunities informed by market trends, client needs, and research.
  • Partners with data teams to define KPI’s and automate recurring audience insights that track performance and business impact.
  • Integrates research outputs into audience strategy, developing case studies and strategic narratives for client and internal use.
  • Executes and refines workflows and processes for audience development and insight generation, driving operational efficiency.
  • Coordinates with internal stakeholders and external partners to align priorities, timelines, and the audience product roadmap.
  • Supports the evaluation of external data vendors and the building of custom audience solutions.

Our ideal candidate will have the following

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, data science, business or a related field
  • Minimum five years’ related audience data insights experience
  • Experience working cross-functionally with multiple departments
  • Proven track record of driving business growth through data implementation and audience insights
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in an agile environment, effectively managing complex projects with customers and internal stakeholders
  • Experience deriving and presenting insights to business leaders, including developing data-driven narratives for client engagements, campaigns, and webinars
  • Ability to collaborate with technical teams to understand tradeoffs and translate customer insights into productized data solutions, new audience offerings, and feature strategies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on strong storytelling and data visualization
  • Experience with KPI development, reporting automation, and performance tracking
