Elevator Pitch
The Inn and Spinn is seeking a reliable, hands-on, and people-focused Crepe Cook to join our team at The Spinn Café. This role requires someone who is proactive, organized, and dependable.
While the primary focus is on food preparation and crepe making, this role may occasionally support other areas of the café to help ensure smooth operations, exceptional guest experiences, and a positive work environment.
Duties & Responsibilities
Food Preparation & Execution

Prepare and cook crepes to order, ensuring consistency, quality, and presentation standards are met.

Follow recipes accurately and maintain portion control.

Prep ingredients daily (batters, fillings, toppings, etc.) and restock as needed.

Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workstation throughout the shift.

Assist with prep for other menu items as needed.

Monitor food quality and communicate any issues with ingredients or product.
Guest Experience

Provide friendly, attentive service and create a welcoming environment for all guests.

Communicate clearly with guests when needed (wait times, menu questions, etc.).

Support overall café flow to ensure timely service during busy periods.
Cross-Training & Support Roles

Learn and operate the POS system (Lightspeed) for taking orders and processing payments.

Support Guest Services as needed, including taking orders, running food, and assisting guests.

Cross-train as a barista (espresso drinks, coffee service) and bartender (basic cocktails, beer/wine service).

Step into different roles during peak times or call-outs to support the team.
Operations & Team Support

Assist with opening, shift change, and closing duties, ensuring all checklists are completed.

Maintain clear communication with team members and leadership throughout the shift.

Follow direction from leads and managers while also being proactive in identifying needs.

Help maintain a positive, team-oriented work environment.
Cleanliness, Organization & Compliance

Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, café, and storage areas throughout the shift.

Follow all food safety, sanitation, and Oregon health code requirements (including FIFO).

Properly store, label, and rotate products.

Qualifications

OR food handlers card
-
OLCC permit (must be 21+ years of age)

Restaurant Experience: 1 year (Preferred)

Great communication and teamwork skills

Able to work shifts with extensive standing/walking
