Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Kochi for an Admissions Counselor. The Admissions Counselor will be responsible for assisting prospective students in their journey to study abroad by providing guidance on university options, the application process, and scholarship opportunities. Day-to-day tasks include advising and counseling students, building positive relationships with students and their families, coordinating with universities, and addressing any queries with a high level of professionalism. Additionally, the counselor will actively participate in improving recruitment efforts and meeting enrollment goals.
Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal communication and general communication skills to effectively guide and interact with students and other stakeholders.
- Exceptional customer service skills to address queries, provide support, and ensure student satisfaction throughout the admission process.
- Sales and persuasion skills to meet enrollment objectives and promote university programs strategically.
- Knowledge of higher education systems and processes, particularly within the context of international student recruitment.
- Ability to build trust and inspire confidence in students, creating a positive and encouraging environment.
- Organizational and time management skills to handle multiple students’ admissions efficiently.
- Prior experience in educational counseling, recruitment, or a related field is an advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Communications, Marketing, or a relevant field is preferred.
