Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Admissions Counselor role based at the ABBS campus in Bengaluru. The Admissions Counselor will guide prospective students and families through the admissions process, including responding to inquiries, explaining program offerings, and outlining eligibility criteria and application requirements. Daily responsibilities include conducting campus tours, organizing and participating in admission events, education fairs, and information sessions, as well as following up with leads via phone, email, and in-person meetings. The role involves evaluating applications, coordinating entrance or interview processes, maintaining accurate records in admissions systems, and collaborating with academic and marketing teams to meet enrollment targets. The Admissions Counselor will also support outreach initiatives to schools, colleges, and other partners to strengthen the applicant pipeline and promote ABBS programs.
Qualifications
- Strong Communication and Interpersonal Communication skills to engage effectively with prospective students, families, and institutional stakeholders.
- Customer Service and Sales abilities to build relationships, address queries professionally, and support conversion of inquiries into enrollments.
- Background or strong interest in Education, particularly higher education or management education, to accurately present ABBS programs and outcomes.
- Proficiency in using basic office software and CRM or admissions management tools to track leads, applications, and follow-ups.
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline; a degree in business, marketing, education, or related fields is preferred.
- Ability to work on-site, manage multiple tasks during peak admission cycles, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Comfort with public speaking, presentations, and outreach activities such as school visits and education fairs.
- Prior experience in admissions, counseling, student services, or related customer-facing roles is an advantage.
