Academic Counsellor – Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated and results-oriented Academic Counsellor to guide students in choosing the right academic programs and support them throughout the admission process. The ideal candidate should possess strong communication skills, counselling ability, and a student-centric approach with a passion for education and career guidance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Understand student profiles and recommend suitable courses and universities based on their interests and goals.
- Handle inbound and outbound admission enquiries through calls, WhatsApp, email, and direct interactions.
- Follow up with prospective students and convert leads into admissions.
- Maintain accurate records of student interactions, applications, and follow-ups in CRM/software systems.
- Explain course structures, fee details, scholarship opportunities, and admission procedures clearly.
- Coordinate with internal teams and university partners for smooth admission processing.
- Build trust and maintain professional relationships with students and parents.
Eligibility Criteria:
Minimum 1 year of experience is mandatory in any of the following areas:
- Academic Counselling
- Admission Counselling
- Customer Service
- Sales
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Malayalam. Additional languages will be an advantage.
- Good convincing and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with CRM tools/MS Office.

- Passion for education and student guidance.
- Ability to handle pressure and achieve targets.
- Good listening and problem-solving abilities.
- Professional attitude with empathy and patience.
