Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Admission Counselor, based at Amity University's campus in Mohali district. The Admission Counselor will be responsible for guiding and assisting prospective students and their families through the admission process. Key tasks include providing detailed program and admission information, guiding application procedures, organizing campus tours, conducting informational sessions, and maintaining prospective student records. The Admission Counselor will also collaborate with academic departments to address specific inquiries from applicants and support admission events or workshops.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in communication skills, both verbal and written, with a strong customer-oriented approach
- Ability to provide guidance and counseling with a focus on building rapport with students and families
- Organizational and time management skills, including the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Experience or familiarity with higher education processes and student onboarding
- General knowledge of admission policies, procedures, and standards will be advantageous
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office tools, email, and web-based systems
- Flexibility to work on-site and participate in occasional weekend or evening events
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Communications, or related field (Master’s degree preferred)
