Role Description The Admission Counsellor is a full-time, on-site role based at DIMS in Dehradun. The role involves guiding prospective students and their families through the admissions process, including providing detailed information about academic programs, campus facilities, and career pathways. The Admission Counsellor will handle inquiries via in-person meetings, phone calls, emails, and online channels, and will maintain accurate records of interactions and application statuses. Daily tasks include conducting campus tours, participating in outreach events, supporting admission campaigns, and coordinating with academic and administrative teams to ensure a smooth applicant experience. The role also involves meeting enrollment targets, following up with leads, and providing timely, clear, and courteous communication throughout the admission cycle.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Communication and Interpersonal Communication skills for engaging with prospective students, families, and internal teams.
- Candidates should possess Customer Service skills to provide supportive guidance, respond to inquiries, and ensure a positive admission experience.
- Candidates should possess Sales skills to manage leads, conduct follow-ups, and help achieve enrollment objectives in a professional and ethical manner.
- Candidates should possess Education-related understanding, preferably with experience in academic counseling, student guidance, or institutional admissions.
- Relevant qualifications such as a bachelor’s degree in Education, Management, Psychology, Communications, or a related field.
- Ability to work on-site in Dehradun, manage multiple tasks, and use basic computer applications and CRM or admission management systems.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with faculty and administrative staff.
- Prior experience in admissions, counseling, or student services in an educational or healthcare-related institution is an advantage.
