About the role

We're seeking a curious, analytically-minded and passionate individual with research experience to join our thriving Research and Service Design team, here at Admiral. You may have recently graduated, just completed a UX bootcamp or be within the first 1-2 years of your career. We're seeking someone who has some practical experience of planning, conducting, making sense of and applying research. In addition, the ideal candidate will be enthusiastic to learn, eager to grow and thrive on understanding people. What you'll do Under the mentorship of an experienced Senior User Researcher and Service Designer you will directly contribute to our team's purpose by: Participating in strategic research projects through the application of core research techniques Conducting your own foundational research methods, in support of wider research projects Creating artefacts and materials that enable us to effectively learn and test new ideas Engaging with appropiate and diverse participants that align with the goals of the research Identifying core findings from your research and sharing these clearly with your teams Considering the customer experience across an end-to-end journey Supporting the activities of scoping and planning our research projects Collaborating on projects with multi-disciplinary team members Contributing to the growth and development of the Research and Service Design Team Investing in your personal development by actively learning from others, taking on feedback and putting new techniques to practice Key skills Required Experience of conducting and implementing at least 2 qualitative and quantitative research methods Experience in moderating individual and group research sessions. Experience in collaborating and working as a team to achieve a common goal Ability to plan and conduct an efficient research project, with support. Ability to present findings from research in a clear format that peers can understand and use. Ability to build rapport with stakeholders and explain what is important to them, and why Ability to receive and act on feedback in order to improve your skills and outputs Understand when and how to use basic qualitative and quantitative user research methods Understand how to apply basic techniques for the analysis of research data and synthesis of findings. Understand the key principles of Service Design within digital product development Demonstrate some awareness of the diversity of users of insurance services, and the need to make insurance products and services usable and accessible for everyone. Demonstrate a passion for growing and developing your career in User Research and Service Design Qualifications You have a degree, BSc, BA, Master's or equivalent in User Experience Design, Human Computer Interaction Design, Psychology or similar.
