Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Systems Administrator & Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be the backbone of our technical operations, responsible for automating, securing, and maintaining the cloud infrastructure that powers our business-critical applications. You will focus on driving operational efficiency, ensuring high availability, and scaling our systems to meet growing demands.
Key Responsibilities
- Cloud Architecture & Deployment: Design, architect, and deploy robust, scalable cloud infrastructure specifically within Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Develop and maintain high-quality, reusable Terraform frameworks to standardize environment provisioning.
- Version Control & CI/CD Automation: Manage source code and collaborative workflows via GitHub. Architect and manage automated CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Jenkins to streamline software delivery.
- Application & Workload Support: Provide expert-level support for complex enterprise applications, including LAMP stack environments.
- Incident Management: Take the lead on troubleshooting production incidents, performing root cause analysis, and implementing strategies to minimize system downtime.
- Security & Compliance: Harden environments by implementing granular IAM policies, robust secrets management, certificate lifecycle management, and comprehensive firewall controls.
- System Administration: Perform core administrative duties, including monitoring health metrics, configuring virtual machines, managing enterprise storage systems, and executing reliable backup and restoration protocols.
- Platform Diversity: Provide seamless support and optimization for both Linux and Windows enterprise workloads.
- Operational Excellence: Champion initiatives to modernize our infrastructure and elevate our overall operational maturity and technical standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Cloud Proficiency: Advanced hands-on experience with GCP (Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Storage, VPCs, etc.).
- Automation & DevOps: Deep proficiency in Terraform, GitHub Actions, and Jenkins; strong background in scripting (Bash, Python, or PowerShell).
- Collaboration Tools: Expert use of GitHub for version control, code reviews, and project management.
- OS Knowledge: Expert-level administration skills for both Linux (RHEL/Oracle/SUSE) and Windows Server environments.
- Security Mindset: Strong understanding of cloud security best practices, including zero-trust principles and secrets management (e.g., HashiCorp Vault or Secret Manager).
- Experience: 8+ years of experience in systems administration, cloud operations, or SRE roles.
