The Customs and Excise Business Analyst reports to Global Process Owner (GPO) Customs and Excise Trade Compliance (CETC) Rae. The CEBA works closely together with the Sr Manager Customs and Excise EMEA and members of IT supporting the applications used for these processes.
Responsibilities
- Identify substandard business and systems processes through evaluation and provide recommendations for improvement
- Develop plans to implement changes with attention to transparent communication at all levels
- Serve as liaison between the business and IT, translating business requirements to technical and vice versa
- Author and update internal and external documentation, and formally initiate and deliver requirements and documentation
- First line of defense for business questions regarding the system. Log and manage any issues that cannot be resolved.
- Manage projects involving Customs and Excise
- Serve as the Superuser for Customs and Excise – complete UAT and provide training as required.
- Root cause analysis of systems issues including solution design
Requirements
- 5 years+ of experiences as business analyst
- Experience in finance related processes
- Proficiency in SAP R2R and/or SD modules, BTP skills a plus
- Excellent business communication skills – English and communicative German
Experience with customs and excise processes (e.g. IPR, EMCS and other Special Programs) will be an advantage
- Experience in generating process documentation and reports
- Experience completing UAT, ADO skills a plus
