About This Internship:

This position is responsible for a variety of entry level professional functions depending upon the student’s career and educational pursuits and the needs of the credit union at the time with specific opportunities to be identified in March 2025 . This paid internship opportunity will provide general support in one of the following areas: Accounting, IT, Lending, Branch Operations, Community Engagement, Marketing, Business Intelligence or any other area deemed appropriate between the credit union and the student.

The internship is a 7-week program from June 8th-July 24th with a maximum of 25 hours a week. The schedule will be Monday-Friday 9:00am-3:00pm.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • As directed by management, perform simple to moderate level tasks in support of department goals and objectives, to include but not limited to data input, verification, graphic design, simple IT coding, forms processing, participation in department projects and meetings.
  • Assist with and participate in department projects, meetings, and initiatives.

  • Observe and participate in branch-related activities as appropriate and directed by Branch Management.

  • Attend and contribute to on-site and off-site department or credit union meetings.

  • Communicate effectively with team members and various levels of the organization regarding project status and initiatives.

  • Develop and deliver a written presentation summarizing the internship experience, demonstrating strong grammar, spelling, and clear written communication skills.

  • Develop and present a verbal presentation on the internship experience to the senior management team, focusing on clear, concise verbal communication and presentation skills.

  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited college, university, or technical program.

  • Interest in financial services, business operations, technology, marketing, analytics, or a related field.

  • Ability to perform basic to moderately complex tasks with accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Basic computer proficiency, including familiarity with Microsoft Office or similar tools.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate with individuals at various organizational levels.

  • Willingness to learn, accept feedback, and adapt to new tasks and responsibilities.

  • Professional demeanor and commitment to confidentiality and ethical standards.
