As we continue to grow our online presence, we’re looking for a highly skilled Web & Shopify Development Manager to lead the strategy, development, and optimization of our e-commerce websites.

Job Summary

The Web & Shopify Development Manager will be responsible for managing the development, functionality, and performance of our Shopify stores and other digital platforms. This role requires strong technical skills, a sharp eye for UX/UI, and a passion for creating seamless and engaging digital experiences that reflect our love for pets and commitment to quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Shopify Management:
• Develop, customize, and maintain multiple Shopify Plus stores.
• Implement new themes, features, and third-party app integrations.
• Ensure the platform is optimized for performance, speed, and mobile responsiveness.
• Website Development & Optimization:
• Oversee all web development initiatives across the company’s digital assets.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve site performance issues and bugs.
• Implement SEO best practices and optimize pages for organic search performance.
• UX/UI and Customer Journey:
• Collaborate with design and marketing teams to create user-friendly, conversion-optimized web interfaces.
• Use data analytics and user feedback to continuously improve user experience and site functionality.
• Project Management:
• Manage web development projects from concept to deployment, ensuring alignment with marketing campaigns and business goals.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Operations, Creative, Customer Service) to prioritize and execute web updates.
• Technical Leadership:
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Shopify updates, e-commerce trends, and digital technologies.
• Manage and liaise with external developers or agencies when necessary.
  

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Web Development, Computer Science, E-Commerce, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in web development, with at least 3 years focused on Shopify (Shopify Plus preferred).
• Strong front-end development skills (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Liquid).
• Proficiency in working with Shopify APIs and third-party app integrations.
• Familiarity with performance optimization, A/B testing, and digital analytics tools (Google Analytics, Hotjar, etc.).
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and stakeholders.
• Strong eye for detail and a passion for building beautiful, functional web experiences.
• Bonus: Experience in pet or consumer goods industry and an affection for pets!
