MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN 2

Are you a well rounds skilled technician  that has experience with complex maintenance repair and operational task including water systems, sewer systems, tower sites, and general building maintenance. ? We’re looking for a dedicated Maintenance Technician 2 to join our team at the County of Adams and want to hear from you! 

The Maintenance Technician 2 performs a variety of skilled and semi-skilled work in the construction, maintenance, repair, and renovation of County buildings, facilities, and equipment. The role requires the ability to work independently or as part of a team to ensure that facilities are safe, functional, and well maintained.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• 3-5 years experience as a maintenance technician
• Broad knowledge of:
  • Plumbing
  • Electrical Systems
  • Carpentry
  • Painting
  • Mechanical systems
  • Snow plows, tractors, skid loaders
  • Additional skills are considered a plus. 
• This position is subject to FBI fingerprinting before hire and during employment

Physical Requirements:

• Must be comfortable working in secure surroundings, tight places and in high places (this role requires physical ability to climb and work at heights of at least 20 feet). 
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs independently and 100 lbs with assistance.
