Frontend Engineer - Text Editor

About the position
This is a full-time position, involving the frontend development of Adalat AI’s speech recognition transcription product. You will be part of the team ensuring the frontend code meets industry standards and improving the product.

Responsibilities:

You will be expected to:

1. Enhance, maintain, and build an application frontend using NextJS
2. Maintain high-quality standards for the work undertaken and be responsible for the quality of deliverables
3. Contribute to product development by pitching in with ideas and doing proof-of-concepts.
4. Work in close collaboration with cross-functional partners in backend and design functions.

About You

1. Computer Science Graduate with 2 - 4 years of relevant experience
2. Proficiency with any part of our technology stack: Next.js, TypeScript, TailwindCSS, Zustand, Tip-tap
3. Have experience working on large codebases
4. Have high standards for code quality and user experience

After A Year you would have

1. Worked on building a voice-first code editor, with features like collaboration, audit logs
2. Developed a deep understanding of people in the legal system and how to build UX for them
3. Worked extensively on creating an accessible component library and design system to serve the needs of our user

At Adalat AI, we strive to provide AI and LLM powered technological solutions to courts and judicial systems in India to tackle widespread backlogs and delays. We are currently piloting an AI-based voice transcription software that supports court stenographers with typing depositions, cross-examinations, orders dictated in court, and judgments prepared in chambers.
