Company Description Verbattle Foundation is an international non-profit organization focused on promoting tolerance, understanding, and conflict resolution through structured debate and dialogue. Established in 2005, it has grown from a small initiative into a global movement, organizing major intellectual activities for children and youth using a unique, internationally acclaimed debate format. The foundation runs a variety of programs, including tournaments, teacher training, debate and leadership clubs, forums, workshops, summer camps, and corporate/institutional programs. Role Description The Activity Associate is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru North, supporting the planning and execution of Verbattle’s programs and events. This role involves coordinating debates, workshops, training programs, and camps; managing participant communication; and assisting with logistics such as scheduling, venue setup, and materials preparation. The Activity Associate will support facilitators and trainers, help maintain program records and reports, and ensure activities run smoothly and on time. The role also includes engaging with schools, institutions, and youth groups, promoting Verbattle initiatives, and gathering feedback for continuous improvement. Collaboration with the wider team to uphold Verbattle’s values of democracy, dialogue, and conflict resolution is central to this position.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong organizational and coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple activities, schedules, and stakeholders.
- Candidates should possess effective communication and interpersonal skills, including comfort with public interaction, group engagement, and clear written and spoken English.
- Candidates should possess basic event management and logistics skills, such as handling registrations, venue arrangements, and materials or resource planning.
- Candidates should possess facilitation or mentoring capabilities, with interest in working with children, youth, educators, and diverse participant groups.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in using common office and collaboration tools (e.g., email, spreadsheets, presentations) and be willing to learn new digital platforms.
- Relevant experience in education, non-profit activities, youth programs, or debate/public speaking initiatives is beneficial.
- A bachelor’s degree in any discipline is preferred, along with a demonstrated interest in democracy, conflict resolution, and social impact.
- Ability to work on-site in Bengaluru North, maintain a flexible schedule around events, and collaborate in a small, mission-driven team environment.
