Role Descriptions: Windows Active Directory admin ADFS Azure AD Azure Virtualization, Intra AD.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - hands-on experience in core AD and Intra ID
NOTE - Look for strong resources with experience in managing domain controllers and Microsoft Entra ID
Primary
Management of Active Directory Sites and Services, Domains & Trusts, NTP and replication
Perform DC upgrades, demotions and lifecycle management
Troubleshoot complex AD authentication, replication and directory service issues
Maintain enterprise Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), including root and subordinate Certificate Authorities
Perform certificate template creation, ensure certificate issuance, renewal and revocation processes.
ADFS infrastructure management, administration and troubleshooting
Group Policy and DNS Management and troubleshooting
MSA & gMSA account provisioning and configuration
Setting up SPNs and delegation of service accounts
Quest Change Auditor operations, maintenance and troubleshooting, Creation of reports and alerts.
Quest Recovery Manager operations and maintenance
Troubleshoot authentication failures including Kerberos, NTLM and SAML/OAuth based integrations
Administer and monitor Entra ID and ensure seamless identity synchronization.
Management of the Azure AD Connect servers and troubleshooting
Management of Conditional Access, Cross Tenant Synchronization, MFA and identity protection policies
Enforce security policies and hardening measures for AD, ADFS and PKI Infrastructure
Develop PowerShell scripts for automation of AD tasks, reporting and monitoring
Plan and execute SSO migrations from ADFS to Entra ID, including configuration of new enterprise applications for SSO and management of app registrations
Perform detailed root cause analysis (RCA’s) on incidents and outages to prevent future occurrences
Develop standard operational procedures and produce effective documentation
Ensure all project / investment workloads are delivered according to plans and budget defined
Liaise with Infrastructure Control and IT Risk teams to satisfy internal and external audit requests
Identify cost saving and optimisation opportunities across the group
Build strong working relationships across the organisation
Secondary
Perform daily health and compliance checks for the AD estate
Ensure all domains are backed up successfully and any issues are promptly resolved
Validate monitoring alerts are detected promptly and satisfactorily resolved
Ensure sufficient capacity is available to accommodate drive growth
Respond to emails sent to the team distribution list / mailboxes in a timely manner
Handle incidents and requests with efficiency and a “customer first” mindset
Maintain infrastructure in a highly available, reliable, secure and performant manner
Provide technical support to application support and development teams
Provide consultancy to application support and development teams
Take part in On-Call & weekend work rotation; triaging and addressing production issues as they arise
Essential
Exceptional skills in Active Directory Administration in a multi-domain and multi-forest environment.
Strong expertise in AD, DHCP, DNS, LDAP, Kerberos, Group Policy and replication troubleshooting
In-depth knowledge of Federation Services (ADFS)
Expertise in PowerShell scripting
Fluent in Active Directory Backup and Recovery processes and procedures
Experience in managing Azure AD Connect and directory synchronization
Strong understanding of PKI Infrastructure, certificate management and CA administration
Proficiency in authentication protocols such as NTLM, SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect
Exceptional troubleshooting skills in authentication & replication issues in a hybrid identity environment
Strong understanding of security best practices, Conditional Access, MFA and identity protection
Experience in Cross-Teant synchronization, SSO configurations and app registrations in Entra ID
Experience in domain / forest migrations, consolidations and upgrades
Location - Bangalore / Chennai / Pune / Hyderabad / Kolkata / Gurgaon

Experience Required: 10+ (8+ years relevant is mandate)
