Accounts Receivable - Collections Specialist
Salary: ₹20,000 - ₹25,000 Per Month
Location: Remote | Night Shift (US PST Timezone)
Employment Type: Full-Time
About The Role:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Receivable - Collections Specialist to join our Finance team. You will be responsible for managing and collecting outstanding invoices while maintaining strong, positive relationships with our customers. Your work will directly impact our cash flow and financial health.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor customer accounts and track outstanding dues.
- Proactively contact customers via phone, email, and mail for overdue payments.
- Negotiate payment plans and settlements as per company policy.
- Maintain accurate records of all collection activities and follow-ups in the system.
- Process incoming payments and reconcile customer accounts.
- Work closely with Sales and Customer Service teams to quickly resolve any billing disputes.
- Prepare and share regular Accounts Receivable aging reports.
- Escalate highly delinquent accounts to management or a third-party agency when required.
- Ensure all collection activities comply with internal policies, legal standards, and credit terms.
- Support month-end closing activities related to receivables and bad debt.
Requirements:
- Experience: 2 + years of proven experience in Accounts Receivable / Collections.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business is preferred.
- Skills Required:
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks).
- Ability to work independently and manage a high volume of transactions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in B2B collections.
- Sound knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems.
