Position Overview
Trevexa Health Solutions is seeking an experienced and performance-driven Accounts Receivable (AR) Manager to lead AR and Denial Management operations.
The ideal candidate will bring 12+ years of healthcare Revenue Cycle Management experience, including a minimum of 2 years in a managerial role, with strong expertise in Accounts Receivable, Denial Management, team leadership, analytics, and RCM performance management.
This position requires an experienced RCM professional who can manage large teams, analyze complex AR portfolios, identify revenue-cycle trends, establish corrective action plans, and consistently drive performance against defined KPIs.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage Accounts Receivable and Denial Management operations across assigned client accounts.
- Manage large AR teams, including Team Leads, Senior AR representatives, and AR follow-up staff.
- Establish daily, weekly, and monthly performance expectations for the AR team.
- Monitor AR aging and develop strategies to reduce outstanding balances across aging buckets.
- Analyze unpaid, underpaid, rejected, and denied claims to identify root causes and recovery opportunities.
- Develop targeted action plans for high-value claims and aging AR.
- Oversee denial management, including denial categorization, root-cause analysis, appeals, corrections, resubmissions, and prevention strategies.
- Identify recurring payer, coding, authorization, eligibility, billing, and documentation-related denial trends.
- Monitor payer-specific issues and coordinate appropriate escalation strategies.
- Review team productivity, quality, collections, aging, and account performance.
- Conduct regular performance reviews with Team Leads and AR staff.
- Identify underperforming accounts, processes, and team members and implement corrective action plans.
- Work closely with Billing, Coding, Eligibility, Prior Authorization, Payment Posting, and other RCM functions to resolve upstream issues affecting AR.
- Prepare and review AR performance reports for senior management.
- Support client-specific AR strategies and operational improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with established SOPs, client requirements, payer guidelines, and HIPAA standards.
- Coach and develop Team Leads and AR staff to build a high-performance operational team.
Required Qualifications:
- 12+ years of experience in U.S. Healthcare Revenue Cycle Management.
- Minimum 2+ years of experience as a Manager or equivalent RCM leadership position.
- Extensive hands-on knowledge of Accounts Receivable and Denial Management.
- Demonstrated experience managing large RCM teams.
- Strong understanding of U.S. healthcare payers, including Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial Insurance.
- Strong knowledge of claim lifecycle, payer follow-up, appeals, denials, underpayments, rejections, and aging management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Strong understanding of operational and financial RCM KPIs.
- Demonstrated leadership and people-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and client accounts in a performance-driven environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
