Role Description The Accounts Payable Coordinator is a full-time, on-site role based in Hyderabad, responsible for managing daily vendor invoices, payments, and related financial documentation. This role includes reviewing and processing expense reports, verifying invoice accuracy, reconciling accounts, and preparing accounting journal entries in line with company policies and timelines. The coordinator will collaborate closely with finance, procurement, and operations teams to resolve discrepancies, maintain up-to-date records, and support month-end and year-end closing activities. The role also involves maintaining strong internal controls, assisting with audits, and contributing to process improvements that enhance accuracy and efficiency in the accounts payable function.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Finance and Accounting, with practical experience in accounts payable operations.
- Hands-on experience with Expense Reports and vendor invoice processing, ensuring compliance with internal policies.
- Ability to prepare and review Journal Entries (Accounting) and support reconciliations and closing activities.
- Well-developed Analytical Skills for identifying discrepancies, resolving issues, and improving payment processes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; professional certification is an advantage.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Excel, with attention to detail and strong numerical accuracy.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
- Prior experience of around 4 years in accounts payable or similar finance roles; exposure to startups or tech-enabled businesses is a plus.
