Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Accounts Manager specializing in the Shipping/Marine industry, based in Mumbai. The Accounts Manager will be responsible for preparing financial statements, overseeing budgets, ensuring compliance with shipping industry regulations, and maintaining financial records. The role includes managing accounts payable and receivable, monitoring expenses, preparing reports for senior management, and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure smooth financial operations. The individual will also address audits and compliance requirements specific to the shipping and marine sectors.
Job Description:
• Processing of Salaries
• Internal Auditing, Verification of Invoices & Payments.
• Statutory payments like TDS, Sales Tax, Service Tax & Returns there on
• Preparing MIS Reports (Weekly, Quaterly& Annual).
• Weekly Preparing Handling Account Receivables & Payables
• Handling Petty Cash.
• Preparing & Co-ordinating with Branch Accounts of Paradip, Goa &Hazira
• Project financing.
Experience Range: 5 - 10 years
Qualifications
- Proficiency in financial accounting principles, account reconciliation, and budget management.
- Experience in managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing within a corporate or shipping/marine context.
- Understanding of shipping/marine regulations, taxation, compliance standards, and reporting procedures.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in financial software, spreadsheet applications, and accounting tools.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, on-site environment in Mumbai, with attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Qualification in finance, accounting, or a related field, such as a bachelor’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CA) is preferred.
