Job Summary:
The Accounts Manager is responsible for managing the financial operations of the property, ensuring accurate accounting, budgeting, compliance, and financial reporting while supporting business decisions and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations including AP, AR, and general ledger
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Monitor cash flow, bank reconciliations, and fund management
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes
- Ensure timely vendor payments and customer billing
- Prepare and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial plans
- Control costs and analyse variances against budget
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, taxation, and audits
- Handle GST, TDS, and other applicable tax filings
- Coordinate with auditors for internal and external audits
- Maintain financial controls and ensure adherence to company policies
- Generate MIS reports and provide insights to management
- Monitor revenue reconciliation (rooms, F&B, banquets, etc.)
- Oversee payroll coordination and expense management
- Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping
- Support management in financial decision-making
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in commerce / finance / accounting
- CA / MBA Finance (preferred but not mandatory)
- 5–10 years of experience in accounting (hospitality preferred)
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Experience in GST, TDS, and statutory compliance
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel
