TGC is seeking a highly hands-on Senior Accountant / Assistant Finance Manager to strengthen our accounting, financial reporting and financial controls across our growing business operations.
The role will support multiple business entities and international operations, requiring someone who is comfortable managing day-to-day accounting while also improving the overall accounting structure, reporting and controls.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement and maintain a comprehensive Chart of Accounts aligned with the company's operations and reporting requirements.
- Review historical accounting records from inception, identify discrepancies or incorrect classifications, and ensure necessary corrections are completed.
- Manage and reconcile multiple bank accounts and ensure transactions are accurately recorded and supported.
- Manage intercompany transactions, cross-border transfers and reconciliations between business entities.
- Prepare monthly Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow and supporting schedules.
- Develop and maintain MIS and management reporting, including revenue, costs, margins, expenses, cash position and other key financial information.
- Review day-to-day accounting entries and ensure proper classification, documentation and accounting treatment.
- Manage AR/AP, accruals, prepayments, payroll-related accounting and balance-sheet reconciliations.
- Support accounting for the company's internal and outsourced/contract workforce.
- Support applicable tax, statutory and regulatory accounting requirements across the company's operations.
- Support US accounting requirements and coordinate with the company's US CPA/tax advisers.
- Maintain accurate AR/AP, accruals, prepayments, fixed assets and other balance-sheet schedules.
- Coordinate with external accountants, tax advisers and auditors as required.
- Establish effective month-end closing procedures, accounting controls and reconciliation processes.
- Review and guide the work of the existing accounting team.
- Ensure financial records are complete, accurate, organized and audit ready.
Candidate Profile:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
- 5–8+ years of hands-on accounting experience.
- CA Inter, ACCA, CMA, CPA pathway or similar professional qualification would be advantageous but is not mandatory.
- Demonstrable experience creating or restructuring a Chart of Accounts.
- Strong experience preparing financial statements and management reports independently.
- Experience with multi-entity accounting and intercompany reconciliations.
- Exposure to international or cross-border accounting environments would be highly advantageous.
- Strong Excel skills and experience with accounting/ERP systems.
- Experience in staffing, outsourcing, manpower, recruitment or professional services would be an advantage.
- Must be comfortable working independently in a remote environment and have a reliable remote-working setup.
We are looking for someone who is hands-on, analytical and detail-oriented and can take ownership of the accounting function while improving the quality and reliability of financial reporting.
