Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the accounts team.
- Oversee general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed assets accounting.
- Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing.
- Assist in preparation of financial statements and management reports.
- Assist in statutory audits, tax audits, and compliance requirements.
- Monitor internal controls and accounting policies.
- Review reconciliations, journal entries, and financial accuracy.
- Mentor and develop team members.
- Review and monitor the daily activities of the accounts team to ensure tasks are completed accurately and within established deadlines.
- Verify accounting entries, reconciliations, invoices, payments, and receipts for correctness and compliance with company policies.
- Track pending activities and follow up with team members to ensure timely closure.
- Identify errors, discrepancies, or process gaps and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain daily and weekly performance dashboards for key accounting activities.
- Provide guidance, training, and support to team members to improve quality and efficiency.
- Escalate significant issues, risks, or delays to the Finance Controller with recommended solutions.
Qualifications
- At least 3–5 years experience managing an accounts team.
- MBA (Finance) plus DU graduate or CA dropout
- Strong knowledge of taxation (GST and TDS mandatory), and audit requirements.
- Experience with Software ZOHO books.
- Strong leadership skills.
Salary Budget - ₹ 50,000 pm
