Role Description The Accounts General Manager at JMG Automobiles is a full-time, on-site role based in Cuttack. This role leads the overall finance and accounts function, including financial planning, budgeting, cash flow management, and statutory compliance for the group’s automotive and allied businesses. Daily responsibilities include overseeing accounts pay able and receivable, supervising general ledger and reconciliations, monitoring dealership-level profitability, and preparing accurate financial statements and management reports. The Accounts General Manager will establish and maintain internal controls, coordinate audits, ensure timely tax filings and regulatory compliance, and optimize financial processes to support business growth. The role also involves managing and mentoring the accounts team, collaborating with leadership on strategic decisions, and partnering with operations, sales, and service teams to impro ve financial performance and cost efficiency.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in core accounting and finance, including financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow management, and general ledger oversight.
- Experience with taxation, statutory compliance, audits, and implementation of robust internal controls in a multi-location or multi-entity environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems, with advanced skills in MS Excel and the ability to analyze data for decision-making.
- Proven leadership capabilities, including team management, performance coaching, and fostering a culture of accountability and ethical conduct.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work closely with senior management and cross-functional teams.
- Relevant educational background such as a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; professional qualifications (CA, CMA, MBA Finance) are an advantage.
- Prior experience in the automobile, retail, distribution, or service industry is highly desirable, especially in dealership or multi-outlet operations.
