Job Description – Accountant

Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting operations, ensure statutory compliance, and maintain accurate financial records. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of accounting principles, GST, TDS, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain books of accounts and ensure accurate recording of financial transactions.
- Prepare and process journal entries, invoices, payments, and receipts.
- Perform bank reconciliations and ledger scrutiny on a regular basis.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Handle GST, TDS, and other statutory compliances, including timely return filing.
- Reconcile vendor and customer accounts and resolve discrepancies.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and audit schedules.
- Coordinate with auditors, banks, and other stakeholders as required.
- Maintain accounting records and supporting documents in an organized manner.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable accounting standards.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Working knowledge of GST, TDS, and statutory compliances.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Good understanding of bank reconciliation and ledger scrutiny.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of Tally ERP/Tally Prime and accounting software will be an added advantage.
Qualification
- B.Com / M.Com or equivalent qualification in Commerce or Finance.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in accounting and finance.
