Role: Accounts Executive
- Handling day-to-day accounting operations including:
- Processing purchase orders, supplier invoices, employee expense claims, payments, and payroll-related entries.
- Recording and verifying financial transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Supporting the finance team in:
- Credit control and accounts receivable follow-ups.
- Budget preparation, monitoring, and variance analysis.
- Expense analysis and cost control initiatives.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date digital records of:
- Financial transactions, vouchers, invoices, and supporting documents.
- Vendor master data and account reconciliations.
- Coordinating with internal teams and vendors to ensure smooth execution of daily accounting and finance activities.
- Assisting in month-end and year-end closing activities, including reconciliations and reporting support.
- Supporting administrative and operational requirements related to:
- Travel bookings, expense management, and reimbursements.
- Monitoring and optimizing travel and administrative expenses.
- Ensuring adherence to internal controls, company policies, and statutory requirements.
- Overall, this role is focusing 80-90% in core finance and accounting responsibility and 10% admin responsibility.
- Assisting in maintaining an organized office environment, including tracking administrative inventories and supplies (as required).
Requirements
Qualifications required
- A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 4 years of relevant experience as an Accounts Executive, Accounts Assistant, or Financial Admin role.
- Hands-on working knowledge of accounting software / ERP systems (SAGE preferred).
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and processes.
- Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to work accurately under timelines.
- Good organizational and time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as a team player.
- High levels of integrity and the ability to handle confidential financial information responsibly.
