About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Account Executive โ Xero Accounting to manage overseas accounting operations. This role requires strong expertise in Xero, financial accuracy, compliance, and stakeholder coordination. You will play a critical role in ensuring timely financial reporting, maintaining audit-ready books, and supporting business financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Xero Accounting & Bookkeeping
- Maintain accurate and complete books of accounts
- Ensure all financial records are audit-ready at all times
2. Bank Reconciliation
- Perform monthly (or periodic) bank reconciliations
- Identify discrepancies and resolve them promptly
3. Accounts Receivable & Payable (AR/AP)
- Track receivables and follow up on outstanding payments
- Manage payable schedules and ensure timely vendor payments
- Provide regular status updates to onshore stakeholders
4. BAS & Compliance Support
- Assist with preparation of Quarterly BAS
- Ensure compliance with applicable financial regulations
5. Cash Flow & Financial Planning
- Prepare monthly cash flow statements
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes
6. Payroll & Statutory Compliance
- Assist in payroll processing and statutory payments
- Coordinate with payroll consultants
7. SOFTEX & Regulatory Compliance
- Support SOFTEX billing, invoicing, and rate calculations
- Handle FIRC and STPI documentation
- Maintain audit readiness for compliance
8. Operational Coordination
- Perform timesheet reconciliation
- Collaborate with PMO on staffing and productivity tracking
9. Stakeholder Communication
- Maintain clear and timely communication with internal and external stakeholders
- Proactively escalate risks or issues
Qualification and Experience
- Bachelorโs degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 2โ5 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping roles
- Hands-on experience with Xero (preferred)
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Experience with AR/AP, bank reconciliation, and compliance processes
- Familiarity with international accounting practices is an advantage
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
