Account Associate – US Accounting
Job OverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Account Associate to support our US accounting operations. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting fundamentals, excellent communication skills, and the ability to coordinate effectively with clients and internal teams.
The position involves managing financial records, supporting reporting cycles, handling payroll, and ensuring accurate and timely delivery of accounting services for US-based clients.
Key Responsibilities● Manage end-to-end accounting operations for US-based clients, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with US GAAP and internal policies.
● Maintain and oversee complete bookkeeping cycles, including journal entries, general ledger management, and account reconciliations.
● Execute month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, including preparation of accruals, adjustments, and supporting schedules.
● Prepare and analyze financial statements, including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow reports, ensuring data integrity and actionable insights.
● Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes, including invoice processing, collections tracking, and vendor/customer management.
● Coordinate directly with clients, acting as a primary point of contact for day-to-day communication, query resolution, and delivery management.
● Process and support payroll activities using platforms such as ADP and Gusto, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
● Support audit and compliance requirements by preparing schedules, documentation, and responding to auditor queries.
● Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive operational efficiency and enhance overall financial processes.
● Consistently meet deadlines while maintaining a high standard of accuracy, quality, and client service.
Technical & Functional Expertise● Strong knowledge of accounting principles, with exposure to US GAAP preferred
● Proven experience in cloud-based accounting platforms, with QuickBooks as a core requirement
● Familiarity with additional systems such as Xero, NetSuite, or similar ERP platforms is advantageous
● Experience working with payroll systems, including ADP and Gusto
● Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
Qualifications & Experience● Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
● 1–3 years of relevant experience in accounting, preferably supporting US clients or international engagements
● Prior experience in a professional services or consulting environment will be an added advantage
