The Accounts and Audit Assistant role is a full-time, on-site position based in Chennai. The role involves assisting in the preparation and review of financial statements, supporting statutory and internal audits, and helping draft audit reports under the guidance of senior team members. Daily tasks include verifying accounting entries, reconciling accounts, testing internal controls, and gathering documentation and evidence for audit procedures. The role also includes coordinating with clients for required information, maintaining organized work papers, and ensuring that assignments are completed within deadlines and in line with professional standards.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess skills in Financial Statements and Finance for accurate preparation, review, and understanding of accounting information.
- Candidates should possess skills in Financial Audits and Audit Reports to support audit planning, execution, and reporting.
- Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills to interpret financial data, identify variances, and assess compliance with relevant regulations.
- Relevant academic background in Accounting, Commerce, Finance, or a related field (such as B.Com, M.Com, or pursuing CA/ICWA) is preferred.
- Working knowledge of accounting software, spreadsheets, and basic tax and regulatory requirements will be beneficial.
- Attention to detail, integrity, time management, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team are important.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for interacting with clients and colleagues are an advantage.
