Senior Specialist - Payroll & Payroll Tax

Responsibilities
- Performs assigned payroll activities to ensure accurate and timely payment of domestic associates
- Ensure that payroll activity is properly recorded in the General ledger and assists in research and analysis on reconciling items
- Work with third party providers to ensure payroll tax compliance for both the company and associates
- Utilize resources to identify issues, solve problems, and implement solutions with little to no supervision
- Solve and escalate issues to management in a simple and actionable format.
- Performs complex data mining, analytics, and query creation
- Perform root cause analysis and streamline processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs
- Work cross-functionally to resolve issues including across other areas of the company
- Identifies and solves issues with limited/ambiguous parameters

- Strong understanding of accounting procedures and systems (Oracle, Cadency, ReconNET, etc.) pertaining to area of responsibility.
- Cross-functional enterprise understanding and the ability to lead cross-functional projects.
- Analytical and decision-making skills.
- Advanced user of Microsoft Office Tools.
Experience/Education
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is preferred.
- Certificate on US Payroll - Would be added advantage
- Certificate on Lean and Six Sigma - Would be added advantage
- 4- 6 years’ experience in roles with increasing responsibility AND analytical decision making
