Specialist – Accounting & Reporting Team
The Accounting & Reporting specialist is responsible for month-close accounting and reporting, Balance Sheet Account Reconciliations, TB analysis, flux analysis etc. This position is responsible for the financial integrity and reliability of account balance in SAP. The candidate will interact with Local Finance, Business Controllers, Business Analysts, and other support networks. This position will require an end-user exposure of SAP FI module and Consolidated reporting tool and understanding
Main Responsibilities
- Lead the accurate completion of all month-end closing activities for the entities under own responsibility.
- Apply accounting policies, procedures and understand the impact of postings in SAP.
- Complete various journal postings within TAT and address audit queries in detail and ensure appropriate approvals are obtained before recording the entry as per SOX and company policy.
- Prepare and analyze the reporting of all entities, i.e. trend Analysis, cash Flow, sales gross margin analysis and translate into meaningful information.
- Perform Month end Closing activities- cost center cycle runs, period Open/Close, revaluation, data transmission to reporting tool from SAP etc and perform related reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
- Performs balance sheet account reconciliations (like cash & bank, prepaids, accruals, tax, equity, dividends etc.,) in compliance with SOX and Qnity account reconciliation policy.
- Review and analyze the GL accounts to ensure that they are understood, adequately explained and supported
- Identify reconciling item and follow up with the respective team to clear them off.
- Responsible for ensuring compliance of all applicable Internal controls in the accounting & reporting area.
- Perform and support all activities related to SAP cost center and GL Master data.
- Develop and maintain strong effective working relationships with all stakeholders
- Be a center of expertise and support in all technical accounting matters.
Qualifications
- MBA ,CMA or CA Inter with minimum 1 -2 years of experience.
- Advanced knowledge of SAP is an asset.
- Good Microsoft Office skills required.
- Business proficiency in English.
