JOB DESCRIPTION
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for Accounts Payable
- Review and process expense reports
- Prepare batch payments and input into bank account
- Responsible for accurate coding of expenses to the appropriate GL accounts
- Responsible for accurate coding of expenses to the appropriate customer/project
- Update and maintain prepayment and fixed asset excel files
- Prepare and post journal entries for prepaid expenses and fixed assets
- Assist with preparation of year-end schedules for annual audit and tax
- Prepare annual files for contractors and vendors for yearly 1099 reporting
- Participate in special projects and provide assistance in other areas as needed
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Experience with Excel, QuickBooks and ERP software
- Experience within CRO or project driven business is an advantage
- Acute attention to detail
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Good work ethic and displays a can-do attitude
- Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
- Work well independently and cooperatively with others
MINIMUM RECRUITMENT STANDARDS:
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in accounting
- 3 years’ experience with GL accounting
- Strong accounting skills and understanding of GAAP accounting standards
- Ability to read and analyze Balance and P&L reports
- Proactive self-starter and strong team player
- Work US EST the first 5 business days of each month
- Available US EST as needed for team meetings
