General Information
The GL Accountant will be responsible for ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely financial reporting under Ind AS / IFRS, managing general ledger processes, supporting audits, driving internal controls, and partnering with cross-functional teams to support strategic decision-making. This role requires strong accounting expertise, SAP experience, and the ability to work in a dynamic business environment.
Your Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Compliance
- Provide accurate and timely financial information to support decision-making and business partnering.
- Prepare Monthly, Quarterly, and Yearly Financial Statements and Notes Package as per Ind AS / IFRS.
- Ensure timely and qualitative financial closing and Group Reporting with no repeat audit findings (maintain KPIs).
- Handle and support Statutory, Internal, and Group Financial Audits.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, including SEBI Listing Regulations.
- Ensure accurate reporting in the Integrated Annual Report and other external financial disclosures.
- Responsible for General Ledger Accounting, including review of provisions and ledger structure.
General Ledger (R2R), Internal Controls & Reconciliations
- Handle end-to-end Record to Report (R2R) processes.
- Perform General Ledger reviews, including management of open advances, suspense items, and line-item clearing.
- Ensure effectiveness of controls as per the Internal Control System (ICS) and support ICS reporting.
- Manage Fixed Assets Accounting, including capitalization, depreciation, asset retirements, and physical verification support.
Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable & Cross-functional Collaboration
- Oversee Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth financial operations and alignment with business goals.
- Provide financial insights to management for operational and strategic decision-making.
Projects, Process Improvement & System Implementation
- Assist in process improvement, productivity enhancement initiatives, and automation projects.
- Support establishment of new legal entities and implementation of new IT systems and applications.
- Take on special tasks and projects within Subregion India as assigned.
Your Qualifications
- CA Inter, MBA with 3–4 years of post-qualification experience
- Working experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
- Hands-on knowledge of Ind AS, IFRS, and global accounting standards.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
- Excellent command of the English language (written and verbal).
- Strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, and capability to meet strict deadlines.
