Role Description The Accounting Manager role at Yes Advisors is a remote, contract position responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting operations for multiple client engagements. The individual will manage the preparation, review, and analysis of financial statements, supervise journal entries and reconciliations, and ensure accurate recording of transactions, including fixed assets and other key balance sheet items. This role will coordinate monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities, support compliance with relevant accounting and tax requirements, and prepare management reports and insights for internal and client stakeholders. The Accounting Manager will collaborate closely with Virtual CFOs and advisory teams, respond to client queries, and help standardize accounting processes and controls using tech-enabled tools. The position also involves identifying process improvements, supporting audits or due diligence, and contributing to financial planning and reporting frameworks.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Financial Statements and Finance, including preparation, review, analysis, and interpretation for decision-making.
- Proficiency in Journal Entries (Accounting) and day-to-day accounting operations, including reconciliations and month-end close activities.
- Experience managing and tracking Fixed Assets, including capitalization, depreciation, and disposals in line with accounting standards.
- Advanced Analytical Skills to identify trends, variances, and risks, and to translate financial data into clear, actionable insights.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional qualifications such as CPA, CA, ACCA, or equivalent are preferred.
- Hands-on experience with accounting software and cloud-based tools; strong Excel or spreadsheet skills.
- Proven experience in a similar role (e.g., Senior Accountant, Accounting Manager, or Audit/Assurance), preferably in a consulting, startup, or multi-client environment.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setup, manage multiple client deadlines, and communicate clearly with non-finance stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of audit processes and financial reporting
- Experience working in CA firms or corporate finance environments will be an added advantage
