Role Description The Accounting role at Shirazee Traders - India is a full-time, on-site position based in Pune City. The role involves managing day-to-day bookkeeping, maintaining ledgers, and recording all financial transactions in a timely and accurate manner. Responsibilities include preparing invoices, tracking accounts receivable and payable, reconciling bank statements, and assisting with monthly and annual closing activities. The role also supports preparation of financial reports and statements, ensures compliance with relevant accounting standards and local regulations, and coordinates with internal teams and external stakeholders such as vendors and auditors. The Accounting professional is expected to help improve financial processes, maintain organized records, and provide clear, reliable financial information to support business decisions.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles, bookkeeping, and general ledger management.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, ERP systems) and Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Ability to prepare and review invoices, manage accounts receivable and payable, and perform bank reconciliations.
- Attention to detail, accuracy in data entry, and strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Understanding of local taxation, GST, and regulatory requirements applicable to trading businesses (preferred).
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and auditors.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain organized financial records in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Commerce, Finance, or a related field; relevant certifications are an advantage.
- Prior experience in accounting or finance, preferably within trading, retail, or commercial businesses, is beneficial.
