By integrating the expertise of a Accounting Associate with our unique consulting approach, you will be pivotal in maintaining robust financial
operations across the organization from vendor coordination and compliance to reporting and payments.
Associate - Accounting - Step into a role where your eye for detail and financial acumen converge to ensure the company's financial backbone remains strong. As part of the Accounting team at Unbox, your impact will be felt across every department.
Responsibilities:
- Onboard Unbox as a vendor on customer portals, ensuring all documentation and approvals are in place
- Validate Purchase Orders, coordinate with internal stakeholders for timely sign-offs and compliance
- Manage end-to-end invoicing and follow up on collections to maintain healthy cash flow
- Track and categorize company expenses accurately and on a timely basis Update and maintain revenue, cost, and other trackers for MIS reporting Maintain and reconcile the salary register, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
- Execute vendor payments in line with agreed timelines and company policies
- Coordinate with banking partners for transactions, account queries, and documenta tion
- Compile and submit monthly financial documents to the auditor
- Coordinate with the auditor for monthly, quarterly, and annual compliance filings and payments
- Ensure all tax payments (GST, TDS, PT, etc.) are made accurately and on time
- Collaborate with the CD (Client Delivery) team to align financial outlook with actuals
- Prepare and present monthly financial summaries and reports to the CEO
Requirements:
- Skills in Action: Proven track record in Accounting operations, invoicing, compliance coordination, and vendor management. Known for exceptional attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to manage multiple financial workflows simultaneously.
- Tech Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of MS Office - Word, Excel (including pivot tables and MIS trackers), PowerPoint, and OneDrive. Hands-on experience with Google Workspace - Gmail, Google Docs/Sheets, and Looker Studio for dashboards.
- Accounting Tools: Familiarity with accounting platforms such as Tally, Zoho Books, or similar tools preferred.
- Compliance Awareness: Working knowledge of GST, TDS, and other statutory requirements applicable to a growing startup.
- Adaptability: Thrive in the fast-paced rhythm of a startup where change
- is constant and every challenge is an opportunity to bring clarity and order. Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field. 1-2 years of relevant experience preferred.
