Accountant / Auditor – AI Training Project
Location: Remote
Engagement: Contractor
Compensation: USD $60–$75/hour
URVA Consulting is sharing an opportunity for experienced Accountants and Auditors to contribute their financial expertise to an innovative AI training project.
This opportunity is designed for finance professionals with strong practical experience in financial reporting, auditing, tax compliance, financial modeling, and accounting standards who are interested in applying their domain knowledge to the development of next-generation AI systems.
In this role, selected professionals will use their real-world accounting and financial expertise to review, analyze, and contribute high-quality financial content that helps AI systems improve their understanding, reasoning, and performance on complex finance and accounting tasks.
No prior AI experience is required. Strong accounting, auditing, and financial domain expertise is what matters.
Scope of Work
- Review and evaluate financial statements for accuracy and compliance with GAAP and/or IFRS standards.
- Develop and validate financial models using advanced Microsoft Excel functions and analytical techniques.
- Assess and document audit procedures and internal control frameworks.
- Analyze tax compliance documentation and evaluate alignment with applicable regulations.
- Prepare detailed written reports summarizing financial findings, observations, and recommendations based on provided financial data.
- Contribute realistic financial scenarios and case studies to support the development and training of AI models.
- Review financial documentation and provide concise, constructive feedback on accounting and reporting practices.
- Apply professional accounting and audit judgment when evaluating complex financial information.
- Clearly communicate complex financial concepts through structured written and verbal explanations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on professional experience in financial reporting, auditing, tax compliance, or a closely related finance/accounting role.
- Deep understanding of GAAP, IFRS, and international financial reporting requirements.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including financial modeling and analytical functions.
- Proven experience conducting audits and preparing audit documentation for different types of business entities.
- Strong understanding of audit procedures, internal controls, financial reporting, and compliance requirements.
- Ability to analyze complex financial information and identify inconsistencies, risks, or areas requiring further investigation.
- Ability to articulate complex accounting and financial concepts clearly in both written and verbal formats.
- Strong analytical skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently in a remote, project-focused environment.
- Experience contributing to process-improvement initiatives or technology-driven finance projects is an advantage.
Professional Certifications
Professional accounting qualifications such as CPA, ACCA, or an equivalent recognized accounting certification are highly valued.
