Role Description
This is a contract role for an Accountant, based in Mumbai with a hybrid work arrangement that allows occasional work-from-home days. The Accountant will handle daily accounting operations, financial reporting, and compliance with applicable tax regulations. Key responsibilities include preparing financial statements, managing accounts payable and receivable, monitoring budgets, and reconciling financial discrepancies. The role also involves collaborating with internal teams to ensure accuracy and maintaining accurate financial records.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in bookkeeping, accounts management, and handling financial statements
- Strong skills in financial reporting, budgeting, and expense analysis
- Experience in compliance with tax and regulatory requirements, including GST and TDS
- Familiarity with accounting software like Tally, QuickBooks, or similar tools
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Detail-oriented with the ability to work on tight deadlines
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CA qualification is a plus)
- Prior experience in the food and beverage industry is advantageous but not mandatory
