Youth Organization in Defence of Animals (YODA) is a registered charity committed to creating a world free from animal cruelty. Founded in 2010 in Mumbai, YODA provides essential services for the protection and welfare of animals, including medical care for injured and homeless animals and behavioral rehabilitation for distressed animals. The organization also focuses on sheltering, adoption services, and the sterilization and vaccination of stray animals to reduce their population and prevent human-animal transmittable diseases. Through education and awareness, YODA actively promotes human-animal coexistence and compassion.
Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Accountant role based in Gurugram. The Accountant will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing financial statements, overseeing budgeting and forecasting activities, and ensuring compliance with all financial regulations. Daily tasks will include handling accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank statements, monitoring financial transactions, processing payroll, and creating reports for organizational review. Additionally, the role requires collaboration with internal teams to ensure financial transparency and efficiency. Maintaining records for CSR donations and making reports accordingly
Salary - Rs 30,000 - 40,000
Qualifications
- Experience fresher - 4 years expereincce
- Proficiency in financial accounting, reporting, and bookkeeping
- Experience with budget management, forecasting, and cost analysis
- Knowledge of accounting software and spreadsheet tools
- Familiarity with tax regulations and compliance requirements in India
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and work effectively in a team-based environment
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Prior experience in the non-profit sector or with charitable organizations is a plus
