Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Accountant role based in Mumbai. The Accountant will manage day-to-day financial transactions, including bookkeeping, accounts payable and receivable, general ledger postings, and bank reconciliations. The role involves preparing financial statements, assisting with monthly and annual closing, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and tax regulations. The Accountant will support budgeting, cost tracking, and financial analysis to help management make informed decisions. Additional responsibilities include maintaining accurate records, coordinating with internal teams and external auditors, and recommending improvements to financial processes and controls.
Qualifications
- Strong foundational accounting skills, including bookkeeping, general ledger management, and preparation of financial statements.
- Knowledge of tax regulations, compliance requirements, and basic financial reporting standards applicable in India.
- Proficiency with accounting software and common office tools (e.g., Excel, spreadsheets, and financial management systems).
- Attention to detail, strong numerical aptitude, and the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records.
- Good communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain confidentiality of financial information.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CA Inter, CMA, or equivalent) are an advantage.
- Experience in manufacturing, FMCG, or nutraceuticals is beneficial, along with familiarity with inventory and cost accounting.
