Role Description The Accountant role is a full-time, on-site position based in Muzaffarpur. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate financial records, preparing and reviewing vouchers, ledgers, and journal entries, and managing accounts payable and receivable. The role involves reconciling bank statements, monitoring cash flows, and supporting month-end and year-end closing activities. The Accountant will assist with budgeting, cost tracking, and financial reporting to management, as well as ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies. Day-to-day tasks also include coordinating with internal teams, responding to queries related to invoices and payments, and supporting audits and documentation requirements.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong core accounting skills, including ledger management, journal entry posting, reconciliation, and financial reporting.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in accounting software, spreadsheets (e.g., Excel), and basic ERP or Tally systems used for bookkeeping and inventory tracking.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of local taxation, GST, compliance requirements, and basic regulatory frameworks relevant to Indian businesses.
- Candidates should possess analytical and numerical skills for budgeting, cost monitoring, variance analysis, and financial data interpretation.
- Candidates should possess organizational and documentation skills, with attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate, up-to-date records.
- Candidates should possess effective communication and collaboration skills to work with operations, logistics, franchise partners, and external vendors.
- Relevant qualifications such as a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CA Inter, CMA Inter) are an advantage.
