Role Description The Accountant will manage day-to-day financial activities, including recording transactions, maintaining ledgers, and preparing financial statements and reports. Responsibilities include handling accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank statements, monitoring project-wise expenses, and supporting budgeting and cost control for construction projects. The role will also involve coordinating with vendors and internal teams, ensuring timely payments, maintaining compliance with tax regulations, and assisting with audits and documentation. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Navi Mumbai, requiring close collaboration with project and management staff.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and ledger management
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Tally, ERP systems) and MS Excel
- Understanding of GST, TDS, and other applicable tax and regulatory requirements
- Attention to detail, accuracy in data entry, and strong numerical skills
- Effective communication skills and ability to coordinate with internal teams and external vendors
- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently on-site
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field
- Previous experience in construction or project-based accounting is an advantage
