Role Description The Accountant will manage day-to-day financial operations, including recording transactions, maintaining ledgers, and ensuring accurate and timely entry of income and expenses. Responsibilities include preparing invoices, processing payments, handling billing and collections, and reconciling bank statements and other financial accounts. The role also involves assisting with budgeting, financial reporting, and supporting internal audits to ensure compliance with hospital policies and relevant regulations. The Accountant will collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to address financial queries, support cost control, and provide clear documentation for management review. This is a full-time, on-site role based at UNIVERSAL HOSPITAL HYDERABAD in ECIL, Hyderabad.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in financial accounting, general ledger management, and accurate transaction recording.
- Proficiency in budgeting, financial reporting, and basic financial analysis to support decision-making.
- Experience with hospital or healthcare billing, invoicing, and accounts receivable/payable processes.
- Ability to use accounting software and spreadsheets effectively; familiarity with ERP or hospital management systems is an advantage.
- Attention to detail, strong numerical aptitude, and ability to maintain accurate financial records under deadlines.
- Good communication and collaboration skills to work with clinical, administrative, and external stakeholders.
- Understanding of relevant accounting standards, taxation basics, and compliance requirements for healthcare organizations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CA, CMA, or equivalent) are an added advantage.
- Prior experience in a hospital or healthcare environment is preferred but not mandatory.
