Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Accountant, based in Kolkata. The Accountant will handle day-to-day financial tasks, including maintaining financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling accounts, and preparing financial statements. The role will also involve budget management, payroll processing, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and providing financial insights to support business decisions. Collaboration with the team to optimize financial processes and ensure accurate reporting will be a key responsibility.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in financial management, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and account reconciliation
- Experience in preparing financial statements, budgets, and payroll processing
- Strong understanding of tax regulations and compliance standards
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; relevant certifications (e.g., CPA) are a plus
- Experience in the travel or hospitality industry would be an advantage
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
