Job Description: Accountant

Experience: 2 to 3 years, preferably in a services firm or agency
About the Role:
You'll own the agency's finances end-to-end, from client invoicing and vendor payments to GST filings and monthly reports for the founders. In an agency, cash flow lives and dies by billing and collections, so you'll be the person keeping money moving in on time and going out correctly.
Key Responsibilities
- Client invoicing & receivables: Raise invoices per retainer/project terms, track payments, follow up on overdue receivables, and reconcile client accounts. Collections discipline is the #1 priority in this role.
- Bookkeeping & accounts payable: Maintain day-to-day books (Tally/Zoho Books), record expenses, process vendor and freelancer payments, and manage reimbursements.
- GST & TDS compliance: Prepare and file GSTR-1/3B, handle TDS deductions and quarterly returns, issue Form 16A, and coordinate with the CA for annual filings and audits.
- Payroll processing: Run monthly salary disbursements, manage PF/ESI/PT payments, and maintain payroll records in coordination with HR.
- Cash flow & budgeting: Track weekly cash position, forecast inflows and outflows, flag crunches early, and help founders budget for hires and big expenses.
- MIS & reporting: Deliver monthly P&L, client-wise profitability, outstanding receivables, and expense reports so founders can see which accounts actually make money.
- Banking & vendor management: Manage bank accounts and reconciliations, handle vendor contracts and payment terms, and maintain relationships with the CA, bank, and payroll/software vendors.
What We're Looking For
- B.Com/M.Com/CA Inter with 1 to 2 years of hands-on accounting experience
- Strong on GST, TDS, and payroll statutory compliance
- Proficient in Tally or Zoho Books, and Excel/Google Sheets
- Comfortable chasing payments professionally and firmly
- Self-directed; you'll be the only finance person. Agency/services experience is a big plus
